Indigenous Medicine Garden – Official Opening
June 26 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeThe Medicine Garden is a space rooted in respect, learning, and community care. Established as an Indigenous Medicine Access Site and Teaching Garden, it will provide Indigenous community members with a place to access traditional plant medicines while offering opportunities for the wider community to learn, reflect, and deepen their understanding of the relationships between plants, culture, and wellbeing. All are invited to visit the garden with curiosity, respect, and care.
Please join us on Friday, June 26 as we gather to respectfully open the garden. Guests at the garden unveiling will enjoy a cultural celebration featuring inspiring words from Indigenous medicine garden coordinator Tanya Gluvakov and Asha Frost. Attendees are invited to contribute to the Indigenous Medicine Garden by adding soil and designing their own garden stones, which will become part of the living installation.
Ideal for all ages.
