Events Calendar

Children are invited to strengthen their reading skills by sharing stories with adoptable animals at the Alliston & District Humane Society. This heartwarming program boosts confidence, supports literacy development, and offers comforting companionship to the cats, dogs, and rabbits who call the shelter home. Each session wraps up with a much anticipated tour of the facility, offering families a chance to see the incredible work that the staff and volunteers put in every day to care for the animals awaiting adoption.

Caregivers maintain full responsibility for their children throughout the entire program. Active caregiver supervision is required at all times, and participation will require signing a program waiver. Registration required for each reader.
